Many of you have asked if there was a way to leave a tip on the website. Instead of a creating a traditional tip jar page I am setting up this fund to help turn community generosity into little acts of kindness.

It is in honor of my two wonderful grandmothers who had enormous hearts and spent their lives caring for people.

These women taught me that food doesn’t just nourish our bodies, it can also bring comfort, connection and memories.

Sometimes a cookie isn’t just a cookie, it’s a reminder that someone is thinking about you and that you are loved.

And sometimes the taste or smell of something familiar can transport you back to a place, time or person you needed to feel close to again.
